New Gadget: Acer Aspire One in 1410

I think it's something new and compelling about this new wave of products Netbook - started by the local Taiwanese
companies (Asus Eee-PC, to be exact). Not only are they cheaper than laptops "standard" for netbooks
are also much easier to take.

For me there are several reasons for its previous 12-inch Compaq Evo Notebook replaced (anyone remember that machine?).

First, as the old design (the beginning of the century, to be exact), a 12-inch is less cumbersome by today's standards. Indeed, although most of the on-line model in the heyday (cost me a great NT $ 65,000 - almost $ 2000), it is often too big to take with ease. It is therefore more or less sitting around the house in recent years, because I'm just a little lazy to wear.

Another reason is - not surprisingly - a lack of support for my old laptop. Actually, I was forced to replace my battery died when the old me several years ago. Unfortunately, even at this moment, I had the company that supplied the batteries visit (thank God that the company is based in Taiwan) in person to provide a replacement.

So I took my search for a replacement. Unfortunately, after leaving the market for several years, I was not quite sure what to look for. I started along the lines of laptops my friends and co-workers bought. You know what? I found two of them use Netbook Acer. Although a 10-inch version, and an 11-inch version, both guarantee the qualityof the device.

After a quick investigation NOVA (computer products trading center in Taipei, that of Guanghua Digital Plaza), I was able to approximately NT $ 20,000 with the help of my friend.

Okay, I confess that I am too old to buy a red. But hey, why try something that is not fun from time to time? Nothing in the Code
require prisoners to obtain PC-blue or black, right?

OK - here are the specs:

- 11.6-inch screen
- Intel Celeron
- A battery in 6 hours
- £ 1.4
- 2 GB (buffed it up to 4 GB)
- 250 GB HDD SATA
- Vista Home Basic (the sad part)

According to individuals, can you believe that small is better. For me, I think the keyboard to 11.6 inches bearable, but there is nothing less bite. That is why I have taken in place of the 10-INCHER.

Word is light and small, I was able to create a small package in the netbook - a perfect fit to carry my bag, I use folders A4.

In any case, this is an excellent product, and I did not really recommended if you think about the 12-inch netbooks or laptops.
